Prem Dezoysa

B.Sc, PG DipComp, MSOC, Dip.in PM, A+, MCP, MCSA, MCSA(2012), MCT, MITP.

Prem  completed Master of Service Oriented Computing (MSOC) from Auckland Unitversity of Technology (AUT), in 2014.

Prem has worked for NCBT from 2007 to 2010 as a Computing Tutor / Course Developer and after spending 04 years as Head of the Department of Computing  with a another  PTE in New Zealand, he has joined us back in July 2014 as Head of Department – Computing.

He has over 35 years of work experience in New Zealand and Sri Lanka working in the IT field and Education industry by holding various technical  and mangment positions.

Prem has  seventeen  years  experience in New Zealand in the tertiary education industry. Training, progarmme development, academic quality  management, moderation and development of  assessment, industry networking, stakeholder management and mentoring are some of his core areas.

He is currently a full member of Institute of IT Professional (ITP) New Zealand  and also a member of Edtech, New Zealand.  

  • In addition, he has been involved as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) since 2007 and undertaking training programs on Windows server platforms and related  technologies.
  • His overseas experience includes working as a trainer, visiting lecturer, course developer, systems analyst and systems developer.
  • Prem is passionate about improving quality of  programmes and ensuring the qualifications suit the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. He is actively involved in developing new IT qualifications for  IT Training industry,  recently he served as a member of working  group  committee appointed by NZQA  for  developing  TROQ -IT level 6  qualification.
