English Language Proficiency:

If your first language is not English, you must provide evidence of a satisfactory level of English language proficiency. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has set English language entry requirements for international students enrolling with non-university tertiary education providers in New Zealand. Please check out the link provided to gain a better understanding of accepted evidence towards English Language in NZ.

http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/about-us/our-role/legislation/nzqa-rules/nzqf-related-rules/the-table/

It is important to note that students, who have successfully completed a qualification in New Zealand and wish to progress to a higher-level qualification in New Zealand, must adhere to NZQA’s Rule 18.

For example, to enrol in a level 6 qualification following the completion of a Level 5 qualification, the student will need to provide evidence of English language proficiency for study at Level 6. If you fail to achieve the required score you will not be eligible to study the higher-level qualification and will not be granted a further student visa.

Attendance Requirements

Once enrolled in their approved programme, Immigration New Zealand (INZ) requires International students to attend full time. Students may be required to provide their attendance record and show academic progress if requested by INZ.

If international students do not comply with these conditions, INZ can revoke their Student Visa and student may be asked to leave New Zealand.
